Musky America Magazine October Edition

What is needed are strong voices of reason during the tense time prior to Musky season. Native Peoples must rely upon the direction of tribal elders and non-native peoples must adhere to the letter and the spirit of the law, as defined by the courts, and administered by the DNR and local law enforcement. In an atmosphere of "Us vs. Them", it is far too easy to lose sight of the fact that the health of the fishery is a shared responsibility between Native and non-native peoples alike. Cooperation and NOT confrontation is the best way to insure that generations to come will have the same opportunity to use the fisheries that we enjoy today.
