Updated Information In my original story, I indicated that Ty Sennett did not support this proposal. That was a misperception on my part. During a telephone conservation with Ty Sennett on 4/13/00, Ty reminded me that, for the record…he supported, whole heartedly, the imposition of a maximum 400 foot distance between set rods as put forward in the proposal that passed during the Conservation Congress meeting for Sawyer County on April 10, 2000. In fact, Ty indicated that he would like to see the 400 foot rule enhanced by adding to it a 5 minute maximum time limit to respond to a tripped rod. I am extremely hesitant to respond because this is such an emotionally charged issue. But with all due respect to the writers of this proposal and those who reported the story in www.musky.com, myself, and other anglers agree that the information given contains a multitude of inaccuracies, flawed conclusions, opinions and biases.
